Sales & Business Development Lead
Ally is hiring its first Sales & Business Development Lead — the face of the company for new prospects and partners. This person will own the top of the funnel, build relationships, educate clients on digital accessibility compliance, and drive revenue growth as we scale.
You don’t need to come in as a compliance expert, but you must be willing to become one. You’ll learn accessibility standards deeply (WCAG, ADA, VPAT/ACR basics, our audit→remediation→certification flow) and be able to speak confidently with legal teams, digital leaders, and executive stakeholders.
This is a high-trust role to be part of our founding team with growth ambitions. If you want ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape the entire sales foundation, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary outward-facing representative of Ally
- Build and grow a qualified sales pipeline (inbound + outbound)
- Educate prospects on accessibility compliance, legal risk, and Ally’s full-service model
- Run discovery calls, scope needs, and work with the CEO to craft proposals
- Manage follow-ups, negotiations, and closing motions
- Build partner and channel relationships
- Track key sales metrics (pipeline, conversion, revenue targets)
- Provide market and client feedback to help shape product and service evolution
- Travel to events and in-person customer meetings. US based and global as the company grows.
What Makes You a Good Fit
- Experience in sales, partnerships, or business development (B2B services preferred)
- Clear, confident communicator comfortable speaking with directors, VPs, and legal stakeholders
- Strong relationship-builder who leads with value and clarity
- Interested in (or already familiar with) accessibility, compliance, or risk management
- Comfortable in early-stage environments where you help shape process, not just follow it
- Self-driven, accountable, and excited to be the first sales hire at a growing company
Bonus Skills
- Experience selling compliance, SaaS, design, or technical services
- Understanding of WCAG, ADA, ACR/VPAT, or related compliance standards
- Experience in the digital/web accessibility space
- Agency or consulting background
